Rosette Grynberg

I don't claim to assert myself on painting : it's each time
painting which is essential on me.
This mode to express myself is to some extent natural for me,
like the techniques employed, innate : but that I work with
knives, brushes, spatulas, with my hands,even with my body;
in fact the colors, the matter and the movement always have
the last word.
These pictures come from my imagination,from the music,
the colors and from the light,also from my state of mind.
At the begining,there is sometimes an idea,often a revolt.
But quickly creation carries me and leads me towards unknown
grounds by ways which I discover in taking them.

Through me, it is as if paintings had things to say,while proving to me at the same time that I am here, well alive and
faithful to my ideas and my ideals.

In Rosette Grynberg's paintings somethings always happens ; I invite myself with pleasure in her " atelier " without
having the slightest idea of what I will find there,like when in the early morning one opens the window to see what
the weather is like.You can say that her painting is alive.
As well as her canvasses, that always seem to tell us something new and in which we find a different tone and matter
everytime we see them again.
It's undoubtedly that they are at the same time the result of a moment, of a state of heart, or a specific emotion, and of
a personal history where one guesses sometimes strong moments of " History ".
But everything is expressed powerfully and discreetly,with strength and conviction but nevertheless between the
lines, Rosette Grynberg's painting invites us to a form of active reading.
If it is essential by the power of the feature and the chromatic intensity, it remains an invitation for those who watch; an
open door to those who wish to commit.
